About
The department of Medical Laboratory Technology was established at the University of Rasul, Mandi Bahaudin in 2025. Presently, we are offering two undergraduate pragmas i.e. BS-MLT (04 years) and BS-Microbiology ()4 years) The Department of MLT and Microbiology is an academic and professional department dedicated to educating students in laboratory sciences and microbiological research. It focuses on the diagnosis, prevention, and monitoring of diseases through advanced laboratory testing and the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. The department integrates theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory training to prepare skilled professionals for careers in healthcare, research, public health, and biotechnology.

Focuses on studying microbes including isolation of pathogenic bacteria and fungi from human samples and pattern of antibiotic sensitivity/resistance. Identification of unicellular to multicellular parasites in human’s samples.
Focuses on studying the disease etiology of multiple genetic disorders among the Pakistani population
Focuses on studying the disease etiology and prevalence/existence of multiple hematological disorders as well as different cancers in Pakistani population.
Infrastructure
Spacious and ventilated classrooms dedicated for the students of MLT and Microbiology.
Multiple instruments related hematology, biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology. E.g. ELISA instrument, CBC analyzer, Safety Cabinet, Gel Dock system.
