Dr. Mehran Kausar is an academician, molecular geneticist, and medical laboratory scientist currently serving as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at the University of Rasul, Punjab, Pakistan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and was awarded the prestigious CIMO Fellowship at the University of Helsinki, Finland. His research focuses on human genetics, rare skeletal disorders, molecular diagnostics, and inherited diseases in consanguineous populations. Dr. Mehran has authored numerous publications in internationally recognized journals and has extensive expertise in whole-exome sequencing, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and clinical laboratory sciences. He also serves as a Board Member of the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC), Pakistan, and contributes to national curriculum development and policy initiatives in allied health education and professional regulation.
