About
The Department of Economics & Policy Analysis at the University of Rasul is committed to developing students' understanding of economic systems, public policy, governance, and development issues. The department offers BS Economics and BS Public Policy & Governance, with a focus on preparing students to analyze real-world economic, social, institutional, and policy challenges through practical approaches.
Our academic approach combines economic theory, policy analysis, governance studies, research methods, data interpretation, and applied learning. The department aims to align its teaching with national higher education standards, market needs, public-sector requirements, and emerging global challenges such as sustainable development, climate change, inclusive growth, energy issues, and institutional reforms. The uniqueness of the department lies in its practical and interdisciplinary teaching approach, supported by qualified foreign faculty, which enables students to learn from diverse academic experiences, international perspectives, and real-world policy debates.
The Department of Economics & Policy Analysis offers a practical, market-oriented, and career-driven learning environment. Our students gain hands-on experience through case studies, field assignments, community projects, seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and visits to policy institutions. The program connects classroom learning with real-world economic, public policy, and climate policy challenges. Students are encouraged to participate in internships and to complete online certifications that enhance their professional and analytical skills. Through this approach, the department prepares students to become skilled graduates capable of contributing to employment, entrepreneurship, research, policy analysis, and community development.
The Department of Economics & Policy Analysis focuses on research areas related to microeconomic and macroeconomic issues, sustainable development, economic equity, and environmental sustainability. Our faculty and students actively explore policy-driven solutions to real economic and social challenges, with special attention to clean environment, inclusive growth, governance, development planning, climate policy, food security, energy issues, poverty, employment, and market-based reforms. The department encourages research that connects economic theory with local, national, and global policy needs, training students as future researchers, economists, policy analysts, think tank professionals, and decision-makers who can contribute meaningfully to sustainable and inclusive development.
