Department
Designing The Machines That Move The World
About
Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and design to create, analyze, and improve mechanical systems. It covers the full lifecycle of a product or system — from conceptual design and analysis to manufacturing, testing, and maintenance. Our department combines rigorous academic training with state-of-the-art laboratories, industry partnerships, and research opportunities that prepare students to become innovative leaders in engineering. Graduates leave equipped not only with technical expertise but also with the problem-solving mindset needed to tackle the engineering challenges of tomorrow.
Leadership

Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Our department takes pride in being part of a discipline widely recognized as the Mother of Engineering, as it forms the foundation of technological innovation and industrial development. Mechanical engineers analyze, design, develop, manufacture, and maintain the machines, systems, and processes that power modern society. With a dedicated team of experienced faculty, well-equipped laboratories, active research, and strong industry interaction, our department provides an environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and professional ethics. We encourage our students to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills while exploring emerging areas such as advanced manufacturing, automation, robotics, renewable energy, and sustainable engineering. Join us to become competent engineers & technologists, innovators, and responsible professionals who will contribute to industry, society, and the nation's progress.
