Prof. Dr. Shehzad Khan

Dr. Shehzad Khan is a Professor at the University of Rasul, MBD, with more than 17 years of experience in higher education, teaching, research, academic administration, and leadership. He holds a PhD in Management with a specialization in Finance from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, an MBA in Finance, and a BBA (Hons) in Finance from the University of Peshawar. He has also undertaken specialized professional training in Teaching and Learning from the University of Alabama, USA, and Integrated Strategic Planning through the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). Dr. Khan has an extensive research record, with publications in international peer-reviewed journals, including, Technology in Society, IEEE Access, Journal of the Knowledge Economy, Carbon Management, International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management, and Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research. His research interests encompass corporate finance, financial markets, Islamic and Shariah-compliant finance, FinTech, corporate governance, dividend policy, capital structure, financial development, sustainability, and green finance. In addition to his academic and research responsibilities, Dr. Khan has held several academic leadership and administrative positions, including Director QEC, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, Additional Director Academics (ODL), Managing Editor of the Journal of Applied Economics and Business Studies, Coordinator of Chitral Campus, Head of the Department of Management Sciences. He has also contributed to major institutional development and research initiatives, including the establishment of the Pakhtunkhwa Policy Research Institute under a Rs. 109 million government-funded project. Dr. Khan's teaching philosophy emphasizes outcome-based education, student engagement, critical thinking, problem-solving, and the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical financial decision-making. He incorporates contemporary digital and analytical tools, including learning management systems, financial-market platforms, data-analysis software, simulations, and interactive learning technologies, into his teaching practice. Dr. Khan is also an experienced academic trainer and capacity-building facilitator, specializing in Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum design and implementation, AI-enabled quality teaching and learning, AI-integrated assessment, business analytics, FinTech, and technology-enhanced education. His training expertise focuses on strengthening faculty capacity in contemporary teaching methodologies, curriculum development, assessment, educational technology, and data-driven decision-making. He has completed specialized professional certifications in FinTech Innovations, Microsoft Business Analysis, and Google Data Analytics, together with additional training in machine learning and Python-based data analysis.
