PhD in Mathematics
Dr. Sonia Hanif is an Assistant Professor (BPS-19) of Mathematics at the Department of Physical & Numerical Sciences, University of Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin, Pakistan. She earned her PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, where her doctoral research focused on the orthogonal splitting of the Riemann tensor and its applications. She also holds an MPhil and BS in Mathematics from the same institution. Her research interests include astrophysics and cosmology, modified theories of gravity, mathematical physics, tensor analysis, and differential geometry. Dr. Hanif has authored more than 12 publications in ISI-indexed journals, reflecting her active engagement in advanced mathematical research. Alongside her research contributions, she is dedicated to excellence in teaching, mentoring students, curriculum development, and fostering interdisciplinary research collaborations.
