Dr. Sania Naz is a dedicated educator and researcher in the field of biotechnology, with a Ph.D. from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Her doctoral research focused on Rhus punjabensis mediated synthesis of metallic oxide nanoparticles and their biological and toxicological evaluation, reflecting her expertise in nanotechnology, toxicology, and biomedical applications. She has served in diverse academic roles, including Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at the Virtual University of Pakistan, Visiting Faculty at Quaid-i-Azam University, and Lecturer at Preston University. Currently, she is a Research Assistant in the Department of Biotechnology at Quaid-i-Azam University, where she continues to advance her research in nanobiology, molecular toxicology, and applied biotechnology. Dr. Naz has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, contributing significantly to the fields of nanoparticle synthesis, biomedical applications, and toxicity assessment. Her work has been recognized through prestigious fellowships, international research support programs, and awards such as the IET Premium Award (2022). Beyond research, she is passionate about teaching and has designed and delivered courses in cell biology, nanobiology, food biotechnology, analytical chemistry and instrumentation, biosafety, and bioethics.
