Dr. Muhammad Amir

Dr. Muhammad Amir is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Rasul, Punjab, Pakistan. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, and his M.S. in Ecology from Beijing Forestry University, Beijing, China. He also completed a one-year Chinese Language Program at Beijing Forestry University. His research focuses on ecosystem productivity, carbon sequestration, climate change, terrestrial biosphere modeling, remote sensing, Sun-Induced Chlorophyll Fluorescence (SIF), Gross Primary Productivity (GPP), and eddy covariance flux tower observations. Dr. Amir has published more than 20 peer-reviewed research articles in leading international journals. His research integrates field observations, ecological modeling, machine learning, GIS, and satellite remote sensing to advance ecosystem monitoring and carbon cycle assessment. He has received several prestigious international awards, including the CAS–TWAS President's Fellowship, the China Scholarship Council Scholarship, the Best Thesis Award, and the Best International Student Award.
