Dr. Farooq Ahmad has over 20 years of experience in System Engineering and his contributions in the field of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems: 1. MEMS Sensor Technologies: Dr. Ahmad's research is centered around the development of MEMS sensors for various applications, including: Environmental monitoring (sensing gas, pressure, and humidity). Medical diagnostics (biosensors and lab-on-a-chip devices). Wearable electronics (integrating MEMS sensors into fitness trackers, smartwatches, etc.). Given that MEMS sensors are a key part of many industries, Dr. Ahmad has focused on improving the sensitivity, stability, and miniaturization of these sensors for practical applications. 2. MEMS in Energy and Oil & Gas Applications: Given his association with UTP Malaysia, which is well-known for its strong focus on energy and petroleum engineering, Dr. Ahmad's work is involved in the application of MEMS devices in oil and gas. The oil and gas sector often requires highly durable, miniaturized, and real-time monitoring systems, making MEMS a great fit for such applications. 3.
