Dr. Bilal Ghazanfar is an Assistant Professor and Head of Department at the University of Rasul (UOR). Prior to joining UOR, he served as a Senior Research Associate and Editor at the Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies (CASS), Lahore. He has also worked as a Research Associate and Adjunct Faculty member at the University of the Punjab, a Lecturer at the University of Central Punjab (2021–2022), and a Research Fellow at the Lahore Centre for Peace Research (LCPR) from 2018 to 2020. Dr. Ghazanfar holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of the Punjab and an MPhil in International Relations from the National Defence University, Islamabad. His academic and research interests encompass both traditional and non-traditional security challenges in South Asia, human security, and the implications of emerging technologies for international affairs. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a range of research and policy-oriented initiatives and has participated in Track II diplomatic engagements. He is also a certified NATO trainer and has had the opportunity to deliver lectures at the NATO Centre of Excellence in Ankara.
Research interests focus on traditional and non-traditional security challenges in South Asia, with a particular emphasis on strategic culture, human security, and the impact of emerging technologies on international affairs.
